| Prairie Acres is proud to introduce the Slagle's. Brian and Tracey (Wait) were married on September 28, 1991. Brian is the son of Art & the late Florence Slagle (Slagle Stables). They are best know for driving a six pony hitch for years. The Slagle's have been in the show ring for many years. While growing up Tracey never was very involved with the ponies her main interest was with the dairy farm which was a registered holstein farm. The Waits stayed very busy by not only milking but also promoted the herd by going to many holstein shows throughout the midwest. In 1985 - 1986 Tracey was the Nebraska Dairy Princess and traveled many miles promoting the dairy industry. When Brian met Tracey she already owned "Blue Chip's Cora VB", a classic shetland and "Schrandt's Little Megan" an AMHR Division B. Soon after they were together they began showing "Cora" and "Megan" in the driving classes at Area VI Shows. Tyler is now 12 years old and is really getting into showing the mini's and classic's. He does a good job and enjoys the driving classes most of all. Samantha is now 8 years old and is starting to drive. But we think that big brother had better watch out for her in the show ring in a few years. A couple of years ago we were able to aquire "Cora's" driving mate "Kate" so the two ole girls were finally back together again. We have also purchased a few more AMHR's for our herd and look forward to raising more off springs. Brian is currently working for a Chevrolet Dealership as a mechanic in Central City and Tracey works for Merrick County in the Highway Dept. and Surveyor office. I have also taken on the title of Planning & Zoning Administrator. I have been there for over 13 years now. We would like to thank mom and dad and Dan & Patsy for all their help and support in making PRAIRIE ACRES possible. We also want to thank then for letting us have a page in their web site. |

VB Cora has been a fabulous mare for us. Tracey purchased her before her and Brian met. During her lifetime she has produced several tremendous animals. Cora is the dam of Cora Jane (she appears on the mare page). Her breeding is going on and on in the Wa-Full Classic Pony herd. Cora has also experienced alot of travels. She has been shown as one of a six pony hitch. After Tracey purchased her in 1990 she has been performing in several show rings across Area VI. She has been a tremendous teacher for Tyler and Samantha for the past 10 years and is now retired from the show ring due to health problems. Cora has and always will be the main love at Prairie Acres. |
